How to Create a Research Agent

You can create Research Agent instances to conduct AI-powered research interviews for your specific needs.

Steps​

  1. Navigate to Your Research Project: Go to the Projects section and select the Research Project where this Research Agent should belong.

  2. Go to the Research Agents Section: Within the Research Project, find the tab or section labeled "Research Agents".

  3. Initiate Creation: Click the button labeled "Create Research Agent", "New Research Agent", or similar.

  4. Configure the Research Agent: A form will appear asking for details:

    • Research Agent Name: (Required) Give this specific instance a name. This name might be shown to the research participant, so make it appropriate (e.g., Market Research Bot for Product Study, Support Research Assistant, Jane - UX Research Agent).
    • Description: (Optional) Add internal notes about this specific research agent instance.
    • Research Focus: (Required) Define the AI's core research behavior and focus. Set the research goal, personality, and conversational style for your specific research needs.
    • Other Settings (Optional): Depending on the platform, you might see other configuration options for customizing the research agent's behavior.

  5. Save the Research Agent: Click "Create" or "Save".

Result​

Your new Research Agent instance now appears in the Research Agents list within your Research Project.

Important: Creating the Research Agent doesn't automatically make it available to research participants. You still need to activate and configure its Shareable Link.
