Generating & Managing Shareable Links
The Shareable Link is the unique URL that you give to people (interviewees) so they can interact with your specific AI Interviewer instance.
Why Shareable Links?
- Access Point: It's the entry door for interviewees to start a conversation.
- Unique per Interviewer: Each Interviewer instance gets its own link.
- Control: You can often configure settings for each link to manage access.
Generating a Link
- Navigate to the Interviewer: Go to your Project and into the "Interviewers" section. Find the specific Interviewer instance you want to share.
- Find the Sharing Options: Look for:
- A dedicated "Shareable Link" tab or section within the Interviewer's details.
- A "Share" button or icon associated with the Interviewer in the list.
- A toggle switch labeled "Shareable Link Active" or similar.
- Activate/Generate:
- Click the "Generate Link" button or activate the toggle switch.
- The system will create a unique URL.
Configuring Link Settings (Optional)
When generating or managing a link, you might have options to control its usage:
- Active/Inactive: A master switch to enable or disable the link entirely without deleting the Interviewer.
- Expiration Date: Set a date and time after which the link will no longer work.
- Maximum Uses: Limit the total number of times the link can be used to start an interview session.
- Maximum Duration: (Less common for links, might be an Interviewer setting) Limit the length of a single interview session.
Note: The availability of these settings depends on the platform.
Copying and Sharing
- Once generated and configured, use the "Copy Link" button or manually copy the displayed URL.
- Paste this link into emails, messages, website buttons, or wherever you want potential interviewees to access it.
Managing Existing Links
- Return to the Interviewer's settings or the "Shareable Link" section.
- Here you can usually:
- View the existing link.
- Copy the link again.
- Deactivate/Activate the link.
- Modify configuration settings (expiration, max uses).
- Potentially regenerate the link (this would invalidate the old one).
Important Considerations
- Link Validity: Ensure the link is active and hasn't expired or reached its usage limit before sharing.
- Interviewer Status: The Interviewer instance itself usually needs to be "Active" for the link to work, even if the link toggle is on.
