Interviewer Templates: Overview
What is an Interviewer Template?
Think of an Interviewer Template as the blueprint or personality for your AI interviewer. It's a reusable configuration that defines:
- Focus: What is the main topic or goal of the interview? (e.g., "Gather feedback on website usability", "Screen potential job candidates", "Understand customer pain points").
- Behavior: How should the AI act? Should it be formal or casual? Empathetic or direct? Should it follow a strict script or be more conversational?
- Core Instructions: The underlying system prompt or instructions given to the AI model.
Why Use Templates?
Templates are fundamental to using Agent Interviews effectively:
- Consistency: Ensure all interviewers created for a specific purpose behave similarly.
- Efficiency: Create multiple interviewers quickly without reconfiguring everything from scratch.
- Reusability: Design a good template once and reuse it across different projects or campaigns.
- Customization: Allows for fine-tuning the AI's behavior for specific needs.
Key Concepts
- Template Library: Agent Interviews may provide a library of pre-built, global templates that you can use immediately for common tasks.
- Custom Templates: You have the power to create your own templates from scratch or modify existing ones to perfectly suit your requirements.
- Versioning: Templates can have versions, allowing you to track changes and improvements over time without disrupting interviewers based on older versions.
Relationship to Interviewers
You don't share the Template directly. Instead, you:
- Select or create a Template (the blueprint).
- Create an Interviewer instance based on that Template.
- Share the link for the specific Interviewer.
