Using Pre-built Templates

Agent Interviews provides a library of pre-built or global Interviewer Templates to help you get started quickly for common use cases.

Why Use Library Templates?

  • Speed: The fastest way to create a functional interviewer.
  • Best Practices: Often designed based on effective prompting and configuration strategies.
  • Inspiration: Can serve as a starting point for your own custom templates.

How to Use a Library Template

The most common place you'll select a template is when creating a new Interviewer:

  1. Start Creating an Interviewer: Navigate to your desired Project and click the button to create a new Interviewer (as described in the Quick Start Guide or Creating Interviewers guide).

  2. Find the Template Selection: In the Interviewer configuration form, look for a field labeled "Template", "Interviewer Template", or similar.

  3. Browse Available Templates: Click on the field or dropdown menu. You should see a list of available templates.

    • Templates might be categorized (e.g., "Global", "Project-Specific", "My Templates").
    • Look for templates provided by Agent Interviews or marked as "Global".
  4. Review Template Details (Optional): Some interfaces might allow you to click on a template name to see its description or focus before selecting it.

  5. Select the Template: Choose the library template that best fits your needs (e.g., "General User Feedback", "Basic Customer Service Inquiry").

  6. Complete Interviewer Setup: Finish configuring the other details for your Interviewer (like its name) and save it.

Result

Your new Interviewer is now based on the selected library template. It inherits the focus, behavior, and instructions defined in that template. You can now generate a shareable link for this interviewer.
